ABOUT THE POSITION

At this time, we are looking for an experienced Crane and/or Heavy Equipment operator on a full-time basis to join our team.

The successful candidate will perform the following duties:

Crane Operator:

  • Lift, move, position, or place equipment and materials by using the tower crane.
  • Perform pre-operational inspection and calculate crane capacities and weight to prepare for
  • rigging and hoisting.
  • May assemble tower cranes on site.
  • Perform routine maintenance work such as cleaning and lubricating cranes.

Heavy Equipment Operator:

  • Effectively operate heavy equipment used in construction, i.e. mobile/tower cranes, boom trucks, concrete pumps, zoom booms, excavators.
  • Implement excavation procedure for foundation construction
  • Be in charge of site clearance and setting out
  • Make sure that safety measures are in place based on depth of excavation
  • Move, load and unload various types of trucks in a cautious manner
  • Communicate and work alongside the crew at a construction site
  • Provide land grading which includes raising or lowering ground levels, adding or removing slopes or leveling the ground surface
  • Methodically apply such processes as backfill and compaction

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • Secondary school diploma
  • Minimum 2 of experience in heavy equipment operation

BENEFITS AND SALARY

  • Permanent, full-time position
  • $30.00 per hour for 30-40 hours of work per week
  • Overtime pay applies after 44 hours of work per week
  • Benefits: WSIB
  • Work location: customers’ sites around the GTA and Ontario
